Glastonbury tickets sold out in thirty minutes but who's headlining?

Glastonbury is one of the worlds most popular music festivals but what makes this Somerset event so highly rated?

Over the years headliners have ranged from 'The Who' to 'The Killers and 'U2' to 'Arctic Monkeys'. Always having great headliners has significantly increased the reputation of the five day festival. So really it's no surprised that the event sold out in thirty minutes this year without a clue of the artists and bands set to perform.

Although nothing has been confirmed the bookies favourite to headline for 2016 is Coldplay. The band have a new album due to be released this month (October) titled a headful of dreams. This will be the bands seventh album and possibly their concluding release as it's rumoured Chris Martin has said the group are in their latter days. If this is the case, what better way to end things than with a bang at Glastonbury?

After Dave Grohl broke his leg in Sweden and had to pull out of Glastonbury 2015, Foo Fighters are another favourite to headline the festival. Festival managers have said they would love to have the band back. So lets just hope Dave doesn't go getting anymore injury's in the mean time!

A third and final rumour to perform at Glastonbury is Adele. Although the singer/ songwriter hasn't released anything since 2011 the artist supposedly has a new album coming out this November. If this album is as good as her previous albums '19' & '21' then boy, G fest has to have her there!

Over the next few months Glastonbury should be confirming their performers, until then we will all have to sit tight and wait!

Here's some Coldplay in the mean time :)
